2022 Business of the Year

A message from Elvis and Teddy.

We are truly humbled and honored for winning the Business of the Year award at this year's annual Chamber of Commerce banquet. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and it means so much to us to be recognized in such a meaningful way. To be recognized alongside fellow businesses like Firehouse Petshop and Speidel Bentsen LLC is truly an honor.

We are all so interconnected in some ways. Firehouse, I do all my pet shopping needs with you because I fully support your values of the community first and honestly at times pets first, I love that you give to the Human Society where I got my amazing cat from, and how you put together new pet bundles is just incredible for new pet friends. Thank you for making Wenatchee a better place, not just for me but also for my pets.

Speidel and Bentsen, your office helped me get started with my journey to become an American Citizen by representing me in my DACA petition, and without you getting us started we never would have had the opportunity to open up a business right here in Wenatchee. So, thank you for welcoming me and many others like me into your space. It is humans like you that make Wenatchee a place I am proud to call home.

When we first opened our doors, we had a vision of creating a space where the community could come together to find balance, health, and wellness, and most importantly be themselves. We wanted to provide a place where people could escape the stresses of everyday life and connect with themselves and others through the practice of yoga and the enjoyment of healthy food and drinks, and YOU as a community did just that.

Over the years, we have been so grateful for the support of our community, and we feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful town. We have seen firsthand how our studio and cafe have become a place of refuge for so many people, and we are honored to be a part of their journey toward health and well-being. 

Winning this award has been bitter sweet on one hand we are proud and grateful to all of you for giving The Yogi Grind a chance and on the other hand, we are sad that we won’t be seeing you all in the cafe anymore. Winning the award has only strengthened our commitment to you our community, and we promise to continue giving back as much as we can from where ever we land next. 

Once again, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce and to everyone who supported us throughout the years. This award is truly a testament to the power of community, and we look forward to continuing to serve the Wenatchee area for many years to come.

Nos sentimos realmente humildes y honrados por ganar el premio de Empresa del Año en la cena anual de la Cámara de Comercio de este año. Este premio es un testimonio del arduo trabajo y dedicación de todo nuestro equipo, y significa mucho para nosotros ser reconocidos de una manera tan significativa.

Ser reconocidos junto a otras empresas como Firehouse Petshop y Speidel Bentsen LLC es un verdadero honor. Todos estamos tan interconectados de alguna manera. Firehouse, hago todas mis compras de mascotas contigo porque apoyo completamente tus valores de comunidad en primer lugar y honestamente, en ocasiones, las mascotas en primer lugar. Me encanta que dones a la Sociedad Humanitaria de donde saqué a mi increíble gato y cómo arman nuevos paquetes para las nuevas mascotas amigas. Gracias por hacer de Wenatchee un lugar mejor, no solo para mí, sino también para mis mascotas.

Speidel y Bentsen, su oficina me ayudó a comenzar mi camino para convertirme en ciudadano estadounidense representándome en mi solicitud de DACA, y sin su ayuda no hubiéramos tenido la oportunidad de abrir un negocio aquí en Wenatchee. Gracias por acogerme a mí y a muchos otros como yo en su espacio. Son personas como ustedes las que hacen de Wenatchee un lugar del que estoy orgulloso de llamar hogar.

Cuando abrimos nuestras puertas por primera vez, teníamos una visión de crear un espacio donde la comunidad pudiera reunirse para encontrar equilibrio, salud y bienestar, y lo más importante, ser ellos mismos. Queríamos proporcionar un lugar donde las personas pudieran escapar del estrés de la vida cotidiana y conectarse consigo mismas y con los demás a través de la práctica del yoga y el disfrute de alimentos y bebidas saludables, y USTEDES como comunidad lo hicieron realidad.

A lo largo de los años, hemos estado muy agradecidos por el apoyo de nuestra comunidad y nos sentimos bendecidos de ser parte de una ciudad tan maravillosa. Hemos visto de primera mano cómo nuestro estudio y cafetería se han convertido en un refugio para tantas personas, y nos sentimos honrados de ser parte de su viaje hacia la salud y el bienestar.

Ganar este premio ha sido agridulce, por un lado, estamos orgullosos y agradecidos con todos ustedes por darle una oportunidad a The Yogi Grind y, por otro lado, nos entristece no verlos a todos en la cafetería nuevamente. Ganar el premio solo ha fortalecido nuestro compromiso con ustedes, nuestra comunidad, y prometemos seguir devolviendo tanto como podamos, desde donde sea que nos encontremos en el futuro.

Una vez más, me gustaría expresar mi más sincero agradecimiento a la Cámara de Comercio de Wenatchee y a todos los que nos apoyaron a lo largo de los años. Este premio es realmente un testimonio del poder de la comunidad, y esperamos continuar sirviendo al área de Wenatchee durante muchos años más. Gracias.
